Columbus, GA- Mr. Robert "Bobby" Parker Wardlaw, Gunner Sergeant Retired, U. S. Marine Corp, passed in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 56.
A native of Columbus, GA, Mr. Wardlaw was the beloved son of the late Solomon, Sr. and Velma Parker Wardlaw. He was a 1980 graduate of Baker High School who served 20 dedicated years with the U. S. Marine Corp.
Upon making Los Angeles his home, Bobby was employed with Allied Universal Protection Company and was also an established comedian (stage name, Uncle Cleophis Brown), as well as, a musician. His band was known as Bobby Law and the Smoove Sensations. Other than his parents, he preceded in death by a son, Korey T. Wardlaw, a sister, Genevelyn Wardlaw Payton, and a brother, Solomon D. Wardlaw, Jr.
Surviving his departure with cherished memories, include: a son, Robert P. Wardlaw, Jr.; two brothers, Jerome Wardlaw and Clinton Wardlaw; two sisters, Olivia W. Currie (Samuel) and Andrea W. McKinney (Reginald); a host of loving aunts and uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Wardlaw will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Progressive Chapel with interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with military honors accorded. Pastor Chad D. Bryant will officiate. Visitation is Wednesday, 2 til 7:00 p.m. with a Family Hour from 5 til 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
