Ms. Juanita βNeetβ Harvey passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital at the age of 65. She was one of six children born to David Harvey Sr. and Johnnie Mae Upshaw Harvey on June 7, 1960, in Phenix City, Alabama.
Residing in Fort Myers, Florida, most of her life, Juanita was employed with the Lee County School District as a school bus driver; a job she dearly loved. After retiring, she moved back home to Columbus in November 2022, to be closer to her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Harvey, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Angel Harvey; and two brothers-in-law, Stanley Richerson and Jeannie βGeneβ Lias.
Those left to cherish her memories include three sisters, Jeannie Lias, Gloria Richerson, and Jacqueline Harvey; one brother, Jarrell Harvey; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, to include close friends of 40+ years, Lachun Quick McBride and Lisa P. King.
A Memorial Service for Ms. Harvey will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel at Progressive.
