Mrs. Mary Lee Hardy passed away Saturday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta at the blessed age of 92.
A native of Columbus, GA., and the daughter of the late Rand and Rosa Lee Howard Jones, Mrs. Hardy was a graduate of William H. Spencer High School. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was a devoted home-maker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony E. Hardy, Sr., and three siblings, Woodrow Jones, Rand Jones, Jr., and Dorothy Simmons.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories are one daughter, Audrey Cooper; two sons, Anthony E. Hardy, Jr(Gayle) and Mark T. Hardy(Felicia);five grandchildren, Cordell Bradley(Doretha), Duane Cooper, Adrienne Mann(Roderick), Montrel Davis and Clarence Hardy; ten great grandchildren; one brother, William C. Jones(Sandra); three sisters, Ruby Golatt, Betty Lowe(Kenny) and Rose Marie Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Hardy will be conducted at Two O'clock PM Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc., officiated by Pastor Emmett S Aniton, Jr.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA., on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Two O'clock PM.
The visitation is today 1:00 PM til 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
