Ret. SFC Luther L. Biggers of 115 Liberty Hill Rd, Cusseta, GA 31805, born on August 31, 1953,
peacefully passed away on April 1, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
He was the son of the late Hunter Biggers Sr. & Elizabeth Kearse.
Graduate of Spencer High School's class of 1971.
Mr. Biggers went on to serve 22 years in the service & became a Retired Army Veteran.
After retiring from the service, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Troy
State University.
He was a Georgia State Employee, that retired as a Correctional Officer from Muscogee County
Prison & also worked for the Muscogee County Sheriff's Dept.
Mr. Biggers was also a Buffalo Soldier & a Mason, assigned to Legion Post 267.
He is preceded in death by his fathers Rev. Harry J. Kearse Sr. & Hunter Biggers Sr, younger
brothers Jerome Biggers & Robert Kearse, and one nephew, Jarrell D. Kearse.
He is survived by two daughters, Demetrice (Wellington) Biggers-Callaway of Columbus, GA,
Selita (David) Faller, of Germany. Eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jasmine, Danielle, Daniel,
Wella, Wellington, Julian "JC" Christopher, & Lennox. Devoted ex-wife, Zelbra Biggers. Two
bonus children, Dyneaka (Brian) Harrison & Ronald (Sophia) Perry. His mother Elizabeth
Kearse. Five brothers, Hunter (Brenda) Biggers, Greg Biggers, Harry Kearse Jr., John Kearse, &
Vincent (Tanya) Kearse. Seven sisters, Mary Booker (Walter), Vickie Kearse, Marcia Biggers,
Phyllis Jones, Seletia Green, Tracie Williams (Eric), & Shena Clark. Honorary sister, Veronica
Stalling. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whom he loved.

Viewing/memorial will be Saturday April 8th, 2023, at Progressive Funeral Home in
Columbus, GA, in the main Chapel
10am-11:30am Public
11:30-12:30 Memorial
Graveside funeral will be Monday, April 10th, at 10:30 am, at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL
Line up will be at Progressive Funeral Home at 9:30 am, on 4/10/23
