It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Laura Hollis, who left this world far too soon on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Born to Cynthia Hollis Belton, who preceded her in death, and Alvin (Nicole) Chadwick, Laura touched the lives of many with her kindness, smile, strength, and love.
She leaves behind four beloved children: Le’ona Holt, Rihanna Holt, Travone Coleman, and Iyanna Coleman, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Laura was a devoted mother whose spirit will live on in the love she shared with her children.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Lyndia (Brandon) Carnes, and Charity Owens, who has always been her closest confidant and support.
Along with her immediate family, Laura is cherished by her aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, who will all remember her as a kind soul who brought joy and warmth into their lives.
Though Laura’s time with us was far too short, her impact on those who knew her will never fade. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The Memorial Service for Laura will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Progressive Funeral Home Chapel, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life.
Progressive Funeral Home staff is privileged to serve the Family of Laura Hollis.

Heartfelt condolences goes out to the family of Laura Hollis. Down to earth, family oriented, and smart Laura was always her business. We worked together and I witnessed via hard work move quickly up the business ladder. Her Savvy disposition earned the respect from all at the workplace. I'll miss that stern look followed up with her trademark smile always asking " Mr. Phil you alright?" This is hard to accept. Rest easy Lil Ms. Boss.
