Progressive Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Mrs. Kathryn Williams age 66 of Columbus, GA on November 28, 2020.
Mrs. Kathryn Williams will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service, Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Evergreen Memorial Garden at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be held at Progressive, Friday, December 4, 2020 beginning at 12:00 P.M. and ending at 4:00 P.M.
Kathryn Williams, daughter of the late Jimmy and Pinky Evans was born June 2, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida. At a young age she moved to Seale, Alabama where she spent most of her childhood years. She was the best friend and wife of Sheldon Williams with whom she shared thirty-one years of a marriage filled with love.
Kathryn passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 28, 2020. She was well known for her southern hospitality. She extended love and kindness to all those she encountered. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Kathryn was a member of South Columbus United Methodist Church where she was baptized at the age 40. She remained strong in her faith for many years to follow.
Kathryn is survived by spouse Sheldon Williams, son Anthony Morgan and his spouse Tiwonna Pace-Morgan, grandchildren Chiveca Morgan, TaPorscha Morgan, Kevonte Morgan, Alexis Washington, Jaquita Morgan, and Janiyah Morgan, great grandchildren Lauren Henderson, Keymaree Morgan, and Jordan Morgan, brother Preston Dixon, and two sisters Jaime Alexander, and Polly Evans. Kathryn is predeceased by daughter Denise Morgan and sister Shirley Ann Evans.
