Obituary For Jeanette Hill

Ms. Jeanette Walton Hill passed away quietly Tuesday at Columbus Hospice House at the age of 66.

A native of Columbus and the daughter of the late Oscar and Janie Thomas Walton, Jeanette was a 1973 graduate of William H. Spencer High School and received her bachelor's degree from Columbus State University. She retired as a Supervisor at AFLAC and was a very devout member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served as Church Secretary and taught Sunday School.

Survivors include three uncles, Eddie Thomas (Elizabeth), Jerry Alexander and James Macon; three aunts, Clarice Upshaw, Nadine Short and Vickie Ervin; and a host of loving cousins and friends.

Jeanette will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery on Monday, October 24, 2022 during a Two O'clock PM Homegoing Celebration officiated by Pastor Benjamin F. McGruder.
