Obituary For James Richard Herring, Sr.
Reverend James Richard Herring, Sr. passed on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on October 27, 1946, to the late Bryant Herring, J and Ruth Butler Herring in Macon, Ga.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Herring, Sr. will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lundy Chapel Baptist Church, at 2081 Forest Hill Rd, Macon, Ga., 31210, with interment at Macon Memorial.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Progressive.
Following the visitation on Thursday, there will be a Memorial Service for Mr. Herring beginning at 5:30 p.m. at New Revival Christian Center in Columbus.
