Jaleel Rasheed Ali passed away Sunday October 24th at the age of 14. A native of Columbus, Jaleel was the son of Tracy Johnson, Jibriel Ali and a loving father figure, Frank Smith. He was a student at Eddy Middle School and a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. His passion was playing Basketball, having trained under the late John Washington and he was very good at this sport.
Jaleel was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Patsy L. Duncan and Leo Duncan, Jr.
Other than his parents, Jaleel is survived by two brothers, Jibriel M. Ali and Jalen K. Smith-Johnson; his grandparents, Jacquline Daniels, Dennis Mabry, Rasheeda K. Ali, and Rahman Ali; three uncles, Keith Shephard-El, Kariiem Ali Berry and Ali-Ali; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jaleel will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 following a Two O'clock PM Homegoing Celebration in the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc, officiated by Pastor David Dawson.
Visitation is 3 - 5 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
