Ms. Ida Mae Smoot passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on September 1, 1934, to the late James Moore and Murdell Roquemore in Butler, GA.
The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Smoot will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Progressive with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday.

I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting this very sweet soft spoken voice lady for a year now and I just love her sweet personality and compassionate spirit... She along with her granddaughter Renee and David always made me feel apart of their family every time I went to visit them in Atlanta on numerous occasions. My sincere condolences and prayers are with Renee, Antonio and all of the entire family doing this difficult time. Renee she is gone with the Lord to her every lasting peace and may God continue to comfort you. You took very great care of her and many blessings always to you! Love you always and forever.
Grandma I will miss you dearly. I enjoyed the time that we shared together. This is by far one of the hardest things that I had to do. You were ready God was ready but the truth is i wasnt ready. I love you ALWAYS your heartbroken grandgirl Renee
