Miss. Harveta C. Jackson of Columbus passed away quietly Tuesday at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center at the age of 80. A native of Phenix City, AL and the daughter of the late Lillian Green, Harveta was a 1959 graduate of Spencer High School and attended Tuskegee Institute. She retired from Bellsouth Telephone Company and was a professional seamstress. A devout Christian, she was a member of Franchise Missionary Baptist Church serving as Administrative Assistant, W.M.U., past Youth Director, B.T.U. Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director and Church Decorator. She served as Financial Secretary of the East Alabama Congress of Christian Education.
Miss. Jackson is survived by the Franchise Missionary Baptist Church Family.
Miss. Jackson will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 after an Eleven O'clock AM Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Franchise Missionary Baptist Church officiated by the Pastor, Dr. Raymond Cochran, Sr.
Visitation is from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

When God placed me and Athe YOUTHS of Franchise Missionary Baptist Church, He had an awesome and amazing plan for our lives(Jeremiah 29:11) You helped shaped and mold us to be brave, courageous and confident.
