To the Family of Mrs. Burks, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Evelyn Burks. She served on the staff of St. Marys Elementary School when I was principal. When, in recent years, I would see her from time to time, she was always up-beat and remembering the wonderful times she had at St. Marys. God bless! Dr. Thomas Moffett
Prayers and continued comfort to the family. Mrs. Burks will truly be missed. I had the pleasure of meeting her throught After School Program. I saw how she deeply cared for the wellbeing of those student. She had a great heart.
Mrs. Burks was a dear, sweet lady. I teach at Rigdon Road ES right across the hall from where she was working the after school program. We had known each other for several years and she always greeted me with a hug. She was supportive and cheerful. I felt God told me to step over and check on how she was doing that last day I was at school before I heard the sad news. She said she was doing very well with a smile. I'm so glad I got to see her face that one last time. I will miss her. May God bless and keep her and her family in his care.

My sincere condolences to the family. Evelyn was such a caring, thoughtful person whom I will miss seeing at Pinehurst. She always had a hug and kiss for everyone. RIH sweet lady, God needed you more than this ole sinful world.
Cleo, Eula and children: your wife, sister, mother was a sweet spirit and a loving person. Never did I know that I was speaking to her for the last time just 4 days earlier. Our prayers are with you that you find peace and comfort in knowing the kind of person she was, that she believed and had faith in Jesus christ and that our memories of her will NEVER die. Be strong in the Lord.
