Obituary For Eva Mae Jackson

Ms. Eva Mae Jackson passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born on December 21, 1931 to the late John and Molly Griffin in Buena Vista, GA.

Ms. Jackson was a member of Allen Temple AME Church for over 30 years and most recently a member of Seeds of Faith Baptist Church for 20 years. For approximately 10 years Ms. Jackson was a Weaver at Bibb Manufacturing Company. For most of Ms. Eva Jackson's life she was a loving mother and Homemaker. She was also a strong 34 year breast cancer survivor!

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, LeRoy Jackson, Sr.; sons, Nathaniel and Alexander Jackson; grandson, Reginald Jackson; son-in-law, Pastor Lowell Cliatt; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Those remaining to cherish her memories are, one son, LeRoy Jackson, Jr.; three daughters, Elizabeth (Odis) Alford; Marie Cliatt, Carol (Kenneth) Laster; daughter-in-law, Melody Jackson; four sisters, Martha McGhee, Ruby Campbell, Jossie Griffin and Sallie Williams; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Jackson will be a Private Family Service held on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 beginning at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Progressive.
