Mr. David Simmons passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 78. He was born on December 29, 1944 in Belle Glade, FL to the late Joseph Lee Simmons, Sr. and Susie Loreta Lawton Simmons.
Other than his parents, Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Simmons, Jr., Mildred Simmons and Paul Simmons.
Cherishing his memories are his loving wife, Ora Lee Simmons; son, Brad Simmons; two daughters, Courtney Lamar (Anthony) and Chandra Watkins; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Simmons will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary's United Methodist Church with interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Full military honors.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 beginning at 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Progressive.

Bro Dave that's what I called you I felt you were the brother I never had I will always remember when our families met at Fort Benning Chapel seems like God placed the Simpson's and the Winders and the Simmons there to be a family and what a family we are I thank God for the time we shared what beautiful memories I thank God for them and now it's your time to rest my brother rest on

Bro Dave my brother that's what I called you I am certainly going to miss you I will never forget when our families met at Fort Benning at Lavoie Manor Chapel what a time we had our children were good together and our Sunday dinners were great the friendship we had with our families was one of the best I can see you now working with children getting their stacks you and Linda Ford on post at the chapel to pass out the years Has passed and we are still friends and I thank God for that friendship but now it's your time to rest l'll miss you but God knows best
