Mr. Curlee C. Black passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in Smiths Station, AL at the age of 57. He was born on September 5, 1965 in Uniontown, AL to the late Cleveland Black and Johnnie Mae Strother.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Anthony Black, Andrew Black and Aundria Black Jenkins.
Surviving his cherished memories are his loving wife of 34 years, Carolyn Black; sisters, Lucile Scott, Ann Black (Bernard), Debra Beaton (Ben) and Christine Burrell; brothers, Cleveland Black (Rosie) and Henry Lee Black; his best friend, Greg Wilson; and a host of many other family and friends.
Homegoing Celebration for Curlee Black will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL with interment being held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Service will be live-streamed (see clickable link below)
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 beginning at 12 PM until 4 PM at Progressive.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the Black family on the passing of a dear friend. I was stationed with him at Ft. Benning and he was a great friend. He will be missed, but thankful to know that we see him again in heaven. May the Lord grant you the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness.
