Mrs. Beverly Anne Moore Kindrick of Columbus transitioned home Tuesday at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center. She was 85 years of age.
The daughter of Sergeant Retired James and Mrs. Louvenia Sherman Moore, Mrs. Kindrick was born in Columbus, GA and was a 1955 graduate of William H. Spencer High School. She obtained her Nursing degree from Tuskegee Institute and bachelor's degree in health sciences from Columbus College. She was a member of the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Deaconess ministry, Choir #2 and the Health Services committee. She retired following 31 years as a Registered Nurse at Martin Army Community Hospital. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Mencer Kindrick, and a devoted son-in-law, Martin C. Wilson.
Survivors include: two loving daughters, Aquila Kindrick Wilson and Joretta Kindrick Cuba (William); a beloved granddaughter, Ayana C. Wilson; three grandchildren, Kayden I. Wilson, Messiah N. S. Poe and Carter C. Poe; a devoted cousin, Deborah Sherman Brown (Jerry); and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Kindrick will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 12 noon at the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Rev. J. H. Flakes III will officiate.
Visitation is Wednesday, 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
