Obituary For Bernice Stewart-Terry
Ms. Bernice Stewart-Terry passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on January 19, 1940, to the late Edward Chester and Alberta Robinson Chester in Columbus.
The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Stewart-Terry will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. James CME Church with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will also be on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at St. James.
Progressive Funeral Home staff considers it an honor and a privilege to serve the Family of Ms. Bernice Stewart-Terry.

I know Ms Stewart for many years since I was in high school. It pains me to learn that she passed recently I wish I could have seen her one more time. I send my prayers and condolences to the family.
