Mrs. Annie M. Rocha transitioned home Friday at Orchard View Nursing Facility. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of Woodrow and Marjorie Perry Lockett, Mrs. Rocha was born in Buena Vista, GA. She received her nursing certification from Georgia Southern University. She retired following 40 years of nursing services from Marion County Memorial Hospital and Martin Army Community Hospital. She was an active member of Holsey Chapel CME Church where she served as the secretary on the Pastor’s Aide Board, Co-Captain of Relay for Life, a devoted member of Lay Council, and she also served on the Finance Pillars Organization. Mrs. Rocha was a distinguished member of The Order of The Eastern Star- Modern Free as well as The Red Hat Social Club.
Mrs. Rocha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Mr. Troy Rocha; two daughters, Cynthia Fuller, Marjorie McKinney; and a brother, Charles Perry.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Walter Johnson (Veta); two daughters, Regina Barnes(Rev. Clarence), Tammie Smith(Pastor Hubert), her siblings, Cheryl Smith (Thomas), Jerome Nelson; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; dedicated extended family and cousins, Gladys, Thomas, Janice Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Services for Mrs. Rocha will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 12 O’clock Noon in The Progressive Funeral Home Chapel followed by an interment at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Rev. Andre Mathis will be officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 1:00 P.M. and ending at 4:00 P.M.

The. Bridges family spent many days at her house when she lived in BUENA Vista Georgia yes her girls spent time with the BRIDGES's family. We will miss you. Heaven has a beautiful WOG.
