A devoted military wife, beautiful spiritual soul, and lifelong learner. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Andreas' life was one of quiet strength, love for family, and unwavering faith. Andrea was a long-time member of Prince of Peace Christian Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, gardening, and sipping coffee on the patio. Her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her.
While attending Morristown College in Tennessee, Andrea met her college sweetheart, David Lee. The two were married soon after, beginning a union that spanned 54 years. Though they did not have children, their bond was deeply rooted in love, mutual respect, and shared adventures, especially during their time traveling across the United States and Alaska as a military family. Andrea served with dedication in civil service, including the Lackland Air Force Base Drug Lab, before retiring after 27 years. She was a licensed realtor in Texas and Florida. Committed to personal growth and education, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wayland University and was actively pursuing her Master's degree prior to her passing.

Progressive Funeral Home staff is privileged to serve the Family of Andrea (Aundrea) Patricia Maddox Lee.
I'm finding it hard to look at either service because towards the end of my beloved aunt's death, I learned that she must have endured so much - she suffered many years (likely decades) in silence. So now I am comforted because she sleeps. She ran her race and the dash that will inevitably come between our date of birth and our date of death has been fulfilled. On the day that our Lord and Savior returns, like each of us, her book of life will be read and she will either be told by our God, "I never knew you or enter in my good and faithful servant." So I am compelled to share this short story that I was not allowed to tell at Andrea's funeral: An old preacher was traveling home from a revival and after driving a while decided to pull over and rest before continuing on home. He locked his car doors and fell off to sleep. A robber broke the window of his car, stabbed him and robbed him, leaving the preacher mortally wounded. After an investigation, the robber was apprehended, tried and sentenced to death by lethal injection. The wife of the preacher visited the robber/murderer of her husband and presented him with her husband's bible. Then she said to the robber, "I forgive you for what you did to my husband." The robber said to the widow, "How can you forgive me after what I did to you?" The widow responded, "If God can forgive me for what I did to Him, then I can forgive you for what you did to me." The lesson in this story is this: it's not how you start your race, it's how you finish. We're hurt and offended by what Andrea went through, but I'm reminded that God said that He would settle all accounts in His time. I want to make heaven my home and our Father wants the same for each and every one of us. I pray to God to have the mind and heart of Christ- the same Christ who before He was crucified asked God to forgive those who condemned Him to the cross. So on behalf of the Maddox family who Andrea's husband has offended and hurt very deeply, we forgive you David. We hope that you will find it in your heart to get the help you need and to genuinely repent of your lies and abuse. We all have angels who makes notations in our books of life and certainly our omnipresent, omniscient God sees everything - when and where, how severe the beatings were and why. Your actions only go away by true repentance. Change the dash while you still can.
