Mr. Albert Lee Price passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the age of 76.

He was born on June 10, 1945 in Indiana to the late Timothy Price and Blanche Jones.

The Family will have a Semi-Private Memorial Service for Mr. Albert Price on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2 PM.

Albert Lee Price was born to Timothy and Blanche B. Price on June 10, 1945, in Illinois. He was raised in both Illinois and Indiana with his loving siblings: Celestine Gilmore, Reverend Shirley Corley LaCour, Jonathan Walton, Jr., Ronnie Walton, and Virgia "Peaches" Walton. He was given the nickname "Sunny" because he was always a happy child. In his earlier years, Albert was an impeccable student and athlete. He was an avid reader and loved to run. He carried these traits into high school where he broke countless records as a sprinter.

In his adulthood, he served as an Army Paratrooper during the Vietnam War and served in Germany. Albert was an amazing soldier, so much so, he received a Purple Heart and Certificate of Appreciation from the Army for his exemplary service. After sustaining a battle wound during one of his tours, he was honorably discharged and dedicated his time to being a family man. He had his first child Stephanie Frierson (John Arnold) with Barbara Morris in 1963. He went on to marry Cora Eugenia Bowers on November 10, 1977 and together they had 3 remarkable children: Clark Price (Cathy Price), Marcus Price, and Eurayna Henderson (Dennie Henderson). The family moved to Columbus, Ga where Albert loved taking his children to the park, bringing them donuts from work, and dragging them to Goodwill.

Albert was always a hardworking man. He obtained his welding certification from Columbus Area Vocational Technical School on March 1, 1978. He applied his welding skills at Dolly Madison where he would later retire after decades of dedication and labor. He was awarded the Certificate of Accomplishment in Basic Labor Relations on February 3, 1987, for his efforts. Albert dedicated the majority of his life to his occupation, so he could enjoy the later years of his life, and that he did.

Albert dedicated the later years of his life to being an amazing grandfather to his many grandchildren. He ensured they were involved in activities outside of school like boxing, track, and always making sure they had some extra money in their pockets. He took them on trips, loved them unconditionally, and never missed a chance to snap a picture. He attended every school ceremony and life event that he could. He never failed to support them in everything they did.

Albert Lee Price was a ray of sunshine in every life he touched. "Sunny" was an understatement for the light he brought to this earth. He lived an amazing life and left an impact on so many people, especially his family. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten by his surviving siblings, aunt, wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
