Virginia "Gin" Talley Davis, the daughter of the late Martha Trammell Hutchinson and Willie Talley Sr. was born June 21st 1950 in West Point, GA. She departed this life on January 24th, 2023 at Wellstar West GA Medical Center, LaGrange, GA.
Virginia T. Davis accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age and united with the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor B. C. Carter. She later went to Fellowship with senior pastor Darnell Woodard where she served faithfully until she was called home. Virginia was full of life and a woman of many hats and colors. She was always filled with the word of God and spoke it upon others. She had such a beautiful smile like no other. ‘Gin”, as she was known by many, enjoyed dressing, shopping, dancing and sporting her “black lipstick.”She praising the Lord at every opportunity. Gin listened to 96.3 “Johnny Hill” every morning. She walked through the pain and aches, but she never let it get next to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Davis Jr.; parents; granddaughter, Tonisha Davis; great grandson, Kyren Davis; sister, Mary Alice Hutchinson; brother, David Lee Hutchinson; brother, Jerry Jerome Talley and special aunt, Mary T Hall.
She leaves behind to cherish her fondest memories seven beloved children, Andra (Marcus) Haynes, Patricia Jennings, LaShay Davis, Keisha Williams, Richard Davis, Altanya Davis, Marcus Davis all of West Point GA; Fannette Davidson of LaGrange GA; she leaves to cherish her love 37 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; six sisters, Martha Huguley, Diane (Willie) Wilson, of West Point, GA, Jacquelyn (Terry) Hood, Fayetteville GA, , Judith (Timothy Harris, LaGrange GA, Donna Williams, LaGrange, GA, Kathy Gates, LaGrange GA, Doris Autry Lanett, AL; five brothers, Willie (Marie) Talley LaGrange GA, Marvin (Faith ) Hutchinson, Cusseta AL, Mose Hutchinson Jr West Point , GA, Larry Davidson, Brooklyn NY, Willie Strickland, West Point, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Special cousins, Jennie Trammell, Sandra Trammell ,Terrance Holloway; Special friends, Earl Bledsoe, Lamar Woods, Lynn Johnson, Marcy Robinson, Jeri Bolton, Lueveina Turner, Johnny Hill, Pastor Woodard and the TLC Church Family
Funeral Services for Ms. Davis will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA, Dr. W.T. Edmondson, Pastor, Rev. Charles Trammell, Eulogist, Rev. LaFrederick Bridges, Rev.W.G. Wimberly, Rev. Larry West, Pastor Darnell Woodard and Pastor Patrick Turner, Sr.
Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, West Point, GA.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. ET at the mortuary.

Whenever I wanted to talk, I could call upon my big sister. The conversations were private and I never heard them again. Always saying God got it sis. Your faithfulness and love for God was always shown. Big sis you will surely be missed. We didn't see each other as we should have, but we knew the love we had for each other.
