My condolences to the family! Douglas you will be missed by many with your smiles and chats. I remember you were the 1st person to ever done my finger waves trying to get to these clubs catching you at the last minute. He was a hard worker getting to work even having to walk most of the time. He never met a stranger; but it's so many good memories of him. Rest in peace until I see you again!
Im going to miss you cuz. Every time I come in town you always came to see me. You kept me laughing. Until we meet again. I love you, RIP
For years, Me and Doug always ran across each other at Givorns. He would say, "Hey cuz, ain't seen you in a minute, you been doing alright?" And then we would chop it up for a little while and before I would get out of that store, he would somehow always find me and say run me cross the hill or by Chick Delite....he would really say anywhere and he would have me laughing the whole time he was in the car. Well Cuz, now all I have is memories. I'll think of you all the time at our meeting place. Rest on. -Andrea Cox

Douglas I just can't believe you're actually gone! You never met a stranger. And you had a walk to kill. Walking fast with your head straight in the air. I remember you was the neighbor hair stylist, you thumped my finger waves at an early age. Last time I saw you, you was at Taco Bell cleaning up you always had something funny to say and always smiling. Doug you will but missed. Praying for the our family🙏🏾
Gonna miss Taco. He was one of our games day buddies. Such a sweet soul.
Sending heartfelt condolences to the Gilliam Family. Douglas was a motivated person and truly a hardworking man, and truly a dear friend to me. I spoke to Douglas about everyday, but on Friday we spoke again. But I didn't know that it was going to be the last time that we would talk and see one another. When I heard the news I was devastated because every evening when he would be either walking to the store or either getting off work. We would speak to each other. I know it hard right now. But let his memories and smile live within our hearts. Douglas I'm truly going to miss you because you were my friend.
My condolences to the family 🙏🏿.Doug was a real good friend everytime I stopped by chic delite or wherever I would see him we always had a conversation R.I.P sweet friend 🕊🕊
