Obituary For Ruby D. Reed
Miss Ruby Dean Reed, 64, of West Point, GA passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, GA. Miss Reed was born December 7, 1954 in West Point, GA.
A Homegoing Celebration for Miss Reed will be held at 2:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Keeney Memorial United Methodist Church, West Point, GA with the Rev. Brenda Pritchett Rhodes, Pastor, Bishop Bertha Hodge, Eulogist, Rev. Stanley J. Tucker, Rev. Jerome Spence and Rev. G. L. Fanning, Assisting.
Interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery.
The remains will lie in state at the Keeney Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
At an early age, Ruby confessed Christ and joined the New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Miss Reed received her education in the West Point School System.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, William Wright, Albert Ford, Willie Wright and Bradford Reed and a sister, Georgia Reed.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, George(Gena) Brewer, West Point, GA; Eric(Tawana) Brewer, West Point, GA; 17 grandchildren, Antranessia Dyer, Jontavious Gunsby, Mercedes McQueen, Kamesha McQueen, Sparkelle Johnson, Eric Hutchinson, Lavokious McQeen, Jennah Robinson, Kenyetta Brooks, Paris Brewer, Kym Gardner, Julian Mapp, Jarven Mapp, Jamil Moss, Xavia McClary, Aria Brewer, Arion Akins; two grandsons-in-law, Samone Gardner and Dru Moss; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Reed, West Point, GA; one sister, Dorothy Reed, West Point, GA; one brother-in-law, Leroy Tucker; a special devoted niece, Stacey Reed, West Point, GA; a special devoted nephew, Carlton Reed, West Point, GA; a devoted great nephew, Carlos Reed, West Point, GA, a host of devoted nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
