Mr. Roger Thornhill, Jr., age 61, of Lanett, AL, transitioned on Monday, November 21, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Roger Thornhill, Jr., was born February 27th , 1961 in West Point, GA to Juanita Thornhill and the late Roger Thornhill, Sr.
Roger accepted Christ s his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of the Union Springs Baptist Church, West Point, GA.
He enjoyed yard work and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father; his paternal and maternal grandparents, aunt, Pauline W. Cotton and uncles, Willie L. Broughton and Leroy Heard.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted mother, Juanita Thornhill, Lanett, AL; one daugther, Jessica Cofield, West Point, GA; two grandchildren, Sh’Daria Cofield and Alexia Cofield both of West Point, GA; three sisters, Priscilla (Ronnie, Sr.) Billingslea, Lanett, AL, Vivian Thornhill, Lanett, AL and Jacqueline(Kenneth)Dozier, Newnan, GA; two cousins, Jesse(Helga)Cotton, Sharpsburg, GA and Marion Cotton, Riverdale, GA; nieces and a nephew, Vanisha, Ronnie, Jr., Whitney, Erica, Princess and Brittany; a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services for Mr. Thornhill will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Minister Larry Williams, Apostle Dr. Jessie Shealey, Sis. Mahalie Cox and Sis. Freddie Williams, assisting.
Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
