Mr. Richard Todd, Sr. was born November 14, 1954 in West Point Georgia. He
was the son of late Eugene and Leona Todd. He departed life on December
22, 2024 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange,Georgia.
Richard grew up in West Point, Georgia. He accepted Christ as his Lord and savior and joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He worked in the construction industry for many years.
Richard loved people, loved life, loved to joke and have fun, but most of all, he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, Eugene and Leona Todd; three, brothers, LC, Leon
Todd, and Willie Todd; one sister, Irene T. Williams; four nephews, Aurika White (Oak), Michael Todd, Chancery and Christopher Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories two loving daughters, Latedra Ross -Johnson-Maddox; Karen Lyman ( Sweet Pea) ; two loving sons, Richard Todd Jr. and Gerald Todd; four sisters, Ruby Todd, Juanita T. Lynch, Brenda( Curtis ) T. H. Floyd, and Mirrion ( Greg )Meriwether; three brothers, James ( Brenda ) Todd, Preston Todd, and Luke Todd; four grandchildren, Travis Johnson Jr.,Taylar Johnson, Daria Maddox, David Maddox Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews other and relatives and friends; special thanks to his caregivers: Della Pearl Trammell, Ruby Todd ( sister ), Kirby Scroggins, Dr. Jaddicks and Wellstar of LaGrange, Georgia; also special friends, Bobby Williams and Jake Carter.
A memorial service for Richard will be held on Monday, December 30, at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Emanuel Chapel Church, 1309 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA, with Pastor, Bettye Ray, Eulogist, Rev. Debra McCarden, Officiant, Rev. Charles Trammell and Rev. Rodell Poole, assisting.
In lieu of flowers Richardβs family asks that donations be made to Emanuel Chapel CME Church in his memory.

The Todd family please accept our deepest condolences. We have known the family for many years we goes a long way back. We pray that you will find peace and comfort. Richard u will truly be missed. I taught to Richard a few months ago at the doctor never thought that it was our last conversation. But we all have to pay that debt one day. " Miss me but let me go"" I have come to the end of the road. He touched so many lives. Every time I saw him he always asked me how is everybody doing. Origin and I traveled many roads together and the friendship was always appreciate it by both. May you rest in peace.

Please accept my deepest condolences. Words cannot express my feelings. Richard was a beloved family member to the Trammell's. Slow talk will forever have a place in my heart. Things will not be the same without Richard. π π We "Always" ended our conversation with "I love you/y'all". You really never know how much a person meant to you until they are gone!!!
