Lateshia Ann Williams was born on October 1, 1975 in Chambers County, AL, to the late Luella Williams and the late Hubert Trammell. She departed this life on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Richmond CA, where she was cared for by her brother Frederick and his family.
“Shea-Shea”, as she was affectionately known, was a beloved
member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke,
Alabama. Shea-Shea also attended Valley Haven School in
Valley, Alabama, where she was cared for and supported.
She was special, not because of her disability, but because she
had a special spirit. She had a way of letting you know her
feelings and preferences with a look of joy from her beautiful
brown eyes or the pout of her lips when she didn’t like
something. Even though she could not walk or talk, her spirit
spoke volumes. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love and
radiant light. She was pure love, a person who touched every
heart and reminded us of God’s deepest grace.
Like her late mother, Shea-Shea enjoyed listening to gospel
music, watching Westerns on television, eating good food,
attending family gatherings, and going to church. A beloved
daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, and cousin, we were
blessed to be in her light, and we will cherish the memories we
have of her.
Lateshia leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted brothers,
Frederick Williams (Ruthanne) of Richmond, CA, Ocie
Williams (Patricia) and Tyson Williams both of Oakland, CA,
Jeffrey Trammell, of Lanett, AL; two aunts, Martha Griffin of
Lanett, AL, and Nancy McFarlin of Ozark, AL, a host of cousins,
nieces, nephews, extended family and a community that loved her.
