LaSha{SHA} Silvetta Davis, the daughter of the late Virginia Talley Davis and Andrew Davis, Jr., was born on January 7, 1970, in West Point, GA. She departed this life peacefully on September 2, 2024 in her home.
Sha was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church of West Point, GA. She was a 1988 Graduate of Troup County Comprehensive High School of LaGrange, GA. “SHA”, as she was known by many, is known for her outspoken words and kind heart. She never met a stranger, anyone that crossed her path instantly grew attached to her. Her favorite saying is “It is, what it is!’
Sha worked at WellStar Health System for five amazing years as a Porter until her health declined. During her employment there, she worked hard and was devoted to her job. She was able to put smiles on a lot of residents and staff faces at Florence Hand Homes. Besides work, Sha enjoyed spending time with beautiful grandchildren. Showering them with unconditional love and Scratching Lottery Tickets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kyren Davis; grandmothers, Mrs. Martha Hutchinson and Mrs. Carrie Davis; niece, Tonisha Davis;aunt, Miss Mary Alice Hutchinson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her daughter , Startesha Davis; son, Rafael Davis; grandson, Khyle Davis; granddaugther, Marlee Johnson; five sisters, Andra (Marcus) Haynes, Patricia Jennings, Keisha Williams, Altanya Davis and Fannette (Bobby) Nelson; two brothers, Richard Davis and Marcus Davis; Two(2) of the “Three(3) Amigos!”, Kimala Hutchinson and Pamela Bridges; two that she looked at as her own Tynesha Slaughter and Martez Johnson; aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services for Ms. Davis will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA 31833, with Rev. LaFredrick Bridges, Eulogist.
Interment will be held in the Westview Cemetery, Austin Street, West Point,GA.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. ET until 6:00 p.m. ET at the M.W. Lee Mortuary.
