Mr. Johnny L. Jones, 70, of West Point, GA transitioned on September 15, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center, Columbus, GA.
Graveside Service for Mr. Johnny Jones will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eastview Cemetery, 7th Street, West Point, GA.
Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Johnny Jones, born to the late Wash W. Jones and Vinnie Jones on
October 1st 1953 in Birmingham Alabama. Johnny transitioned to his
new home on September 15th 2024 at Piedmont Columbus Regional
Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Ga.
Johnny grew up in Shawmut Alabama, throughout his working
career, he worked for the city of Lanett, AL. For 30 years before retiring
in 2016.
Johnny was A hard worker, taking care of his family. His faith in
Christ was sure, Johnny made a concious decision to accept Christ as his
Lord and Savior in the summer of 2023 at Glory Carriers International
Church in Opelika, AL.
Johnny was preceded in death by his late father, Wash W. Jones;
his Grandfather, Willie Floyd; his Grandmother, Della Mae Floyd; The
Late Mary Johnson and A significant other; Thelma Williams.
Johnny is survived by, his mother Vinnie Jones; son Martel Johnson (Destiny Long); grandsons Markevean Johnson, Caiden Johnson
and Khyrein Johnson; his seven sisters Betty Reese (Josh Reese), Sherry
Barnes (Terry Barnes), Glenda Johnson, Cathy Bacchus (Helidore Bacchus, Penny Jones, Celia Jones and Tawanda Floyd; A devoted neice Missionary Otasha Jones and A host of nieces and nephews.
