Ms. Joanna Crim, 73, of Lanett, AL, transitioned on November 20, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ms. Joanna T. Crim, will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. EST at the Bowen East District Center, 1319 Magnolia Road, Lanett, Alabama 36863. Reverend Willie Joe Fears, Presiding.
Ms. Joanna Thurman Crim, the daughter of the late Daisy Mae Jackson and Joseph Thurman, was born February 13, 1952 in Lanett, Alabama. On November 20, 2025, at the St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA, she peacefully passed away surrounded by the people and community she loved.
Joanna accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age and united with the New Zion Baptist Church, Lanett, AL. She was retired from Wal-Mart LaGrange Distribution Center with over 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arthur Thurman and her aunts, Mary Lue Huguley and Annie Mae Reese
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Cornelius Thurman(Leslie); her brothers, Albert Thurman (Jacquelyn) and Willie Hardy; her grandchildren, LeChristopher Story, Ashley Thurman, Kendra Thurman, Cedrick Thurman, Jayda Williams and Jazmyn Thurman and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
