Ms. Jenet “Janice” Ferrell, 64, of West Point, GA, entered into eternal rest of Friday, May 5, 2023 at her residence.
Ms. Jenet “Janice” Ferrell” was born to the parentage of Estelle Ferrell and George Williams on June 5, 1958. On May 5, 2023 God looked down on his child and said “I see your struggles and I know you have done your best. Now it’s time for you to come home and let me give you sweet rest and now you will wear your crown.
Janice, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, confessed Christ and united with St. John’s Community Baptist Church of Lanett, AL and then years later she changed her membership and united with Church of Christ of Lanett, AL. She also fellowshipped with Eagles Nest Cathedral International, West Point, GA for many years.
She received her education in the West Point Public School System where she was a member of the West Point High School Graduating Class of 1976.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Williams; her daughter, Chrissy Ferrell; her sister , Mary Cathy Bailey; her grandparents, Willie Pearl Ridgeway-Ferrell, Hiram Hulin, Lewis Ferrell, Elijah and Sophie Williams; her aunts Ossie Lee Williams-Stiggers, Ella Kate Moore and Eva Lee Glass; her uncles, Clanand and Mccoy Williams.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her mother, Estelle Ferrell of West Point, GA; two daughters, LaSonya Ferrell and Katasha (Terrence) Ferrell-Avery of Lanett, AL; one sister, Earnestine Huguley of Lanett, AL; two brothers, Brad Ferrell of West Point, GA and Douglas Ferrell of Lanett, AL; six grandchildren, Tikembe (Queenstaih) Ferrell of Lanett, AL; Shamesia Pruitt of Jacksonville, AL, Quintavious Roberts, Kamiriyah , Kamariyon, and Jayden Ferrell of Lanett, AL; two great-grandchildren; Tikembre and Empress Ferrell both of Lanett, AL; three nieces, Eureka (Jeremiah)Bledsoe, Rajeeni (Hillmon)Brooks of Lanett, AL and Yasha Huguley of Valley, AL; two nephews, LaFrederick Ferrell of Valley, AL and Mario Bailey of Miami, FL; three great nephews that she reared as her own; Quintavious Bailey, Mccarey “Mark” Mccants and Lajerel Woody all of Lanett, AL; a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. W.T. Edmondson, Pastor, Bishop G. Winston Fanning, Eulogist, Overseer G. L Fanning and Rev. Shandor Calloway, assisting. Interment will be held in the Marseilles Cemetery.
At the family’s requested there will not be a public viewing.

Sorry for your loss! Janice was such a sweet & kind lady. Whenever I would see her she "always " would have a beautiful smile on her face. I know you're going to miss her more. But please take comfort in Jesus comforting words at John 5: 28 & 29. But until that time please cherish the memories of Janice. ❤️
