Mr. James W. Walker, the son of Wilkin and Idean Johnson Walker, was born, July 20, 1941 in Hamilton, GA. He departed this life on May 30, 2024 at his residence in Cataula, GA.
James accepted Christ as his Lord and savior and united with the Emanuel Chapel CME Church, where he served as a member of the trustee board, finance department and an usher. He received his education in the Harris County Public School System. He attended Carver High School, Hamilton, GA.
James was employed by the Columbus Mills with over 25 years of service. He was a Masonic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mattie Dawson Walker; brothers, John H. Walker and Willie Maddox and step-daughter, Katherine Stafford.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a brother, Joe Louis(Mattie) Walker; step-daughter, Doris Greene; step grandson, Arthur Stafford; step-granddaughter, Anika Stafford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A cremation service was provided for Mr. Walker.
