Obituary For James Malone
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James Malone Sr. who left us on March 10, 2026 at Diversicare Health Center of Lanett Alabama.
James was preceded in passing by his mother, Catherine Fannings and step-father, Jimmy Fannings, and a son, Joecobie Brooks.
James was survived by Loretta Asberry Malone, a devoted wife for 10 years of marriage; his loving children, Latesha Potts, James Malone Jr, Lakeyshia Brooks, Neanna Brooks, and Qushika Brooks; grandchildren, Moneshia Malone, Jaheim Malone, Queenstaih Potts, Lachina Potts, Jaqualyn Potts, Quadravious, Cofield, and Edtrentavious Summers; great grandkids, Tikembre Ferrell, Empress Ferrell, and Briar Jenkins.
A special uncle, Johnny Malone; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mr. James Malone will be held on March 31st, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Goodsell United Methodist Church, 1007 North 6th Avenue, Lanett, Alabama with Rev. Kesley Barnes serving as the eulogist.
Final Arrangements entrusted to M. W. Lee Mortuary.
