Funeral Services for Miss Jaelanya "Jae" Heard will be held on Saturday,
January 3, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of the New Dimensions
Worship Center, 5610 20th Avenue, Valley, AL 36854 with Bishop Donald
Lancaster, Pastor/Eulogist. Interment will be held in the New Zion
Baptist Church Cemetery, 1516 44th Avenue, SW, Lanett, Alabama 36863.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the M. W. Lee Mortuary.
Jaelanya Taneshya Heard, known by many as “Jae”,was born on February 26, 1993 in Valley, Alabama to Titania Heard and late Christopher Washington.
She attended Valley High School where she was a member of the graduating class of 2011. After graduation, Jaelanya entered into the work force where she connected with many individuals, who became like family to her. Jae was employed by Milliken, Duncan Steward Mill, LaGrange, Georgia. Jaelanya enjoys shopping, fashions, and spending time with her daughter while maintaining a healthy work life .
In 2014, Jaelanya gave birth to her one and only baby girl, Ariyanna Jalivia Parkmond . Jaelanya loved her daughter with every breath in her body. She literally was her young “twin.” When you saw Jaelanya you could always count on seeing Ariyanna right by her side. Ariyanna was her pride and joy.
Jaelanya was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Washington, her grandfather, William “Bill” Trice; her great grand mother; Rosetta Heard; uncle, Xavier Terrell Trice.
Jaelanya made an impact on everyone's lives that she has touched . She definitely truly will be missed by all who knew and loved her laughter , kindness , and love that the part that will never be forgotten . She leaves behind a legacy of love , strength and cherished memories to her daughter, Ariyanna J. Parkmond; her mother, Titania Heard along with her partner, Brian Clark; her fur baby, Princess; sisters, Tatyanna Robinson, Asiah James, Mikkala James , Zaquaya Barens; brothers, Mikka James Jr., Kaleb James, Jamarquis Brock; maternal grandmother, Ora Mae Heard; paternal grandmother, Hattie Mae Washington; paternal grandfather, Jessie Lee Truitt a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, , nephews, cousins and other relative and friends; special friends, Desiree Ross , Roy Parkmond and Shameka Hutchinson

Wow! This really shocked me and hurt my heart at the same time. I didn't know this sweet young lady very long as I was a co worker in the same facility. A very sweet, beautiful spirit a contagious smile. May your spirit live on love and it's such a pleasure to experience as well all are just passing through.
