Mr. Jacquey A. Ware, 58 of Lanett, AL, transitioned on January 13, 2024 at EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
On Thursday, September 9,1965, Jacquey Alberson Ware became the first born child to the union of James H. Ware Sr. and Dorothy Palmer Ware at Valley Hospital, West Point GA.
Jacquey confessed Christ at a young age of 10 and united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church. In 2001 with Christian experience he joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Eugene Cooks. Jacquey served as an usher and a member of the Men's Chorus.
“Qua”, as he was known to many, received his education in the Troup County School System. In 2004 he received his commercial drivers license in Dothan, Alabama.
Jacquey was loved by his family. He enjoyed being around his people and hardly met any strangers. Every one he met instantly fell in love with him. He was a huge lover of the Georgia Bulldogs and a drama free individual. He enjoyed partying with friends and eating a good meal.
On January 13th, 2024 at 8:38 pm at East Alabama- Lanier Hospital, Valley, AL, Qua was called to his eternal rest.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandmothers Ms. Alberta Palmer and Ms. Annie Mae (Tot) Owens.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Cynthia Reese-Ware, Lanett, AL; two sons, Jacquey Kendrell Ware and Antaeus Tawain Fannin, LaGrange, GA; one daughter, Zy’asia Ware,Lanett, AL; two grandsons, Deontaeus Brooks, LaGrange, GA and Za’Kari Thomas, Lanett, AL; a loving mother, Dorothy (Jerome) Swanson, Jonesboro, GA; special friend,Vickie Watkins and daughter, Miracle Graham, Valley, AL; one brother, James (Dena) Ware Jr., Jonesboro, GA; like a brother, Keith Ferrell,West Point, GA; two sisters, Zonnie Henderson, Lanett, AL and Angela Ware, Cleveland, OH; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Marvin Reese, Lanett, AL; sister-in-law, Tabatha (Terry) Williams; brother-in-law, Jermaine Reese, and a host of nieces, nephew, and other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Mr. Steve Hightower, Pine Mountain, GA
Funeral Services for Mr. Ware will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 East 10th Street, West Point, GA with Rev. Dr. W. T. Edmondson, Pastor and Dr. Ellery Freeman, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Arrangements are entrusted to M. W. Lee Mortuary.
To the family I send my deepest condolences. Jacquey's passing was such a shock. You are in my prayers. Qua is traveling that heavenly road and all is well with his soul.
