Mrs. Hattie Mae Marshall, age 78, of Valley, AL gained her wings into eternal rest on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
Ms. Hattie Mae Marshall, the daughter of the late Mr. Gus and Mrs. Annie Lee(Walker) Roberts, was born January 25, 1942 in Chambers County, AL. She transitioned from this life on January 7, 2021 at EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
Hattie accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior. She was a faithful member of the Greenwood Baptist Church, Lanett, AL. She retired from West Point Stevens, Langdale Mill, with over twenty years of service.
She was a caregiver up until 2018 and in her spare time she enjoyed reading her bible and cooking. She truly loved her family and enjoyed talking with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debra Ann Marshall Reed; brothers,William, Willie, Joe and Charlie Ben Roberts; sisters, Gussie Gidden and Mattie Mae Jones.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted companion, Rev. Sam Marshall, Jr., Lanett, AL; two daughters, Latease(Carlos)Crim, Leann Marshall Washington both of Valley, AL; fours sons, Larry J. Marshall, Paul A. Marshall both of Valley, AL, Rev. Harold T.(Sabrina)Marshall, Summerville, SC and Rev. Calvin Marshall, Lanett, AL; twenty-seven grandchildren; sixty-seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Betty Newton of Lanett, AL and Nettie Lyons of Valley, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A Private Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the M. W. Lee Mortuary with the Rev. Calvin Marshall, Eulogist, Rev. Sam Marshall, Jr and Rev. Twyone Ferrell, Assisting.
Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 at the mortuary.
M. W. Lee Mortuary of West Point, GA is entrusted with arrangements.
