Mrs. Hattie Floyd Ingram, age 85, of Lanett, AL transitioned on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ingram Will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pinehill Cemetery with Dr. Jesse Walker serving as the Eulogist, Rev. Stanley Roberts, Rev. Andre Johnson, and Rev. Willie Joe Phillips, assisting.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
On April 8, 1937, Bessie Lee Bryant and Gaines Harris were blessed with a beautiful baby girl they named Hattie Mae. She was the second of seven children. She attended school at Ramage Hill in LaFayette, Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age, joining Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Cusseta, Alabama and later united with the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama. At Ebenezer, Mrs. Hat, as she was affectionately called, served on the Usher Board and the April Birthday Ministry. As a young lady she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. James Floyd. To this union, three children Mary, Victor and Connie, were born. Later in life, she married Mr. Ishman Ingram. She was a former employee of West Point Pepperell, Lanett Mill. Hat enjoyed spending time at the Lanett Senior Center as well as preparing meals for her family.
On Saturday, July 30, 2022, God sent His loving angels to grant her eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, James Harris and James Edward Holloway.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memories her children; Mary (the Reverend Willie) Phillips, LaGrange, GA, Connie(Michael)Moore and Victor (Kimberly) Floyd both of Douglasville, GA; siblings, Anna Huguley, Eva Crim, Annie Carlisle, Oneal Lawson, Henry Lewis Harris and Albert Harris, grandchildren; Kissa Floyd, Marthena (Tiffany) Floyd, JavonnMoore, Demetrius Moore, Tamika (Karl) Neal, Iesha Murphy, and Vendoras Floyd; great grandchildren, Shabrittney, Imari, Messiah, Malaysia, Zakary, Levi, Anija, Ariel, Aziya and Avah; step-children, Mary Ingram, Wheeler Ingram, Susie Pearl Askew and Gertha Rudd, bonus children, Virginia, James, Michael, Zemoria, Akia and Brandon; cousins, nieces, nephews and many devoted and loving friends.
