Life’s Journey

Ethel Ruth Marshall was born May 5, 1938, to Mr. Willie “Rooster” Marshall and Miss Myrtis Goss in Chambers County, AL. Ethel Marshall departed this life into eternal rest on Saturday 21, 2024, at her residence in Lanett, AL.

Ethel Marshall accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2018.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Marshall her mother, Myrtis Goss; three sons, Terry “Cigar” Marshall, Eddy “Killa” Marshall, and Rodney Marshall; one daughter, Barbara “BJ” Hall; one grandson, Daniel Cheeks.

She leaves to cherish three daughters, Ethel(Ron) “Vicky” Wilcox, Atlanta, GA; Jackie (Greg) Avery Valley, AL, Lisa Cheeks, Lanett, AL; six granddaughters, Tina(Roderick) Winston, Valley, AL, Tonya(Willie) Grier, Lanett, AL, Lakastia “Kesha” Summers, West Point, GA, Alissha(Daniel) Askew, Auburn, AL, Minnie Marshall, Texas, Shikiera Marshall, Montgomery, AL, six grandsons, Marquis Deon Williams, Lanett, AL, Kewana Marshall, Huntsville, AL, Martez Summers, Valley, AL, Michael Marshall, Five Point, AL, Torrez Summers, West Point, GA, Damon Marshall, Opelika, AL, One sister Georgia Trammell, Lanett, AL; one uncle, Willie(Maddie Goss) Robertson, Lanett, AL.

Funeral Services for Ms. Ethel Ruth Marshall will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12:00(noon) ET in the sanctuary of Agape Ministries, 1709 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lanett, AL, 36863 with Pastor Annie Wright, Officiating and Rev. Dr. Lamar Johnson, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery 2235 22nd Avenue, SW, Lanett, AL 38683
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 2:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
