Mrs. Ethel Lee “Nanny” Andrews was born to the late Effie Penn and Enoch Marshall on October 3, 1939 in Chambers County, Alabama. She departed this life on April 12, 2023 at the LaGrange Nursing and Rehab Center.
Ethel accepted Christ as her Lord and savior and united with Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir. She later united with Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Ethel worked a George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse for several years. She later became employed by West Point Pepperell(Lanett Mill). She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She, also, loved listening to music and dancing with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Phillip Andrews; siblings, Huey Marshall, Penn Marshall, Frank Marshall Sr, Daisey Spruiel, Annie Laura Glaze, Ida Sue ‘Flute’ John.
Her memories will forever be cherished by her children, Maco Glaze Jr. and Ethel Will Glaze both of Lanett, Alabama; two brothers, John(Clara)Marshall, Valley, Alabama, Jimmy Marshall, Lanett, Alabama; three sisters, Hattie Pearl Marshall, Lanett, Alabama, Carrie Sue Marshall, Brooklyn, NY, Lula Francis Marshall, Valley, Alabama; grandchildren, DonReco(Gabrielle)Glaze, Birmingham, Alabama, Chynna Glaze, Lanett, Alabama, Tarmaine(Jakara)Banks, Phoenix City, Alabama, Aldes Brooks, Lacie Brooks, Peppers Brooks all of LaGrange, Georgia, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; a great caregiver and special friend, Pamela Buchanon.
Graveside Services for Ms. Andrews will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. EST in the Pine Hill Cemetery with Rev. Norman Glaze, serving as the Eulogist.
Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 2:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
