Ervwin Reed transitioned on March 21, 2026, at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. Ervwin was born on September 5,1949, in West Point, GA to the late Carrie Mae Reed and Joe Reed.
Ervwin lived a life full of strength, purpose, and love. He was a man known for his sharp style, warm spirit, and the pride he carried in everything he did.
He graduated from Harris High School and was a police officer for the City of Lagrange Georgia. He was the most proud owner of Reed’s Auto Body and Repair Shop, where he dedicated himself to his craft and served his community with unmatched skill and integrity. He was one of the best painters and high-performance engine builders to ever do it; he didn’t just work on cars—he perfected them. When it came to his craft, he didn’t play. Every engine he built and every car he touched reflected precision, power, and passion.
Reed’s Auto Body and Repair Shop wasn’t just a business… It was his gift to the community. A place where hard work, excellence, and pride lived in every detail.
He was a faithful Deacon at Fellowship Christian Center in Newnan, Georgia, where he walked in his faith and commitment to God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Malinda Carter, who welcomed him at the gates of heaven.
Ervwin leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: Kevin (Yvette) Williams, Temini (Bump) Wallace, Fachanda “Shun” Reed Tucker, Nedra “Pooh” (Barbara) Hutchinson, Ervwin (Asia) Barnes, step-son Curtis (Kurtwood) Goode, step-daughters Gina Scott, Octavia (Nikki) Mackey and Kathye Scott; his sister, Erma Joe Mobley and his brother, Ben Edward (Brenda) Reed. Ervwin’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends whose lives he touched.
Ervwin was the REAL DEALl. He touched lives not only through his work, but through his wisdom, his strength and the way he carried himself.
Your legacy lives on,
Through every engine that roars, every car that shines, and every life you impacted.
