Mr. Eddie Charles Houston was born on April 20, 1953, to the late Clarence Houston Sr. and Gladys Houston in Troup County, Georgia. Eddie gained his heavenly wings and departed from his life here on earth on July 30, 2024
Eddie attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church as a young adult.
He worked over 40 years at West Point Foundry in West Point, GA. Eddie Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, talking on the phone, and eating catfish. Every time you saw him he was happy to see you and always greeted you with a smile..
Eddie was a loving husband, father, friend, and his most important title was being Paw Paw to his seven precious grandkids.
Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Joann (Robert) Williams; brother , Alfred Houston Sr., and other family members.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Winnie Houston; his sons, Maurice (Stephanie) Houston and Edwin (Kristen) Houston; brothers Clarence Houston Jr. and Carlton Houston; seven grandkids, MeKayla Houston, Jayda Finch, MaKenzie Houston, Kezilha Houston, Kaydence Houston, Kayden Houston, and Chance Hull; brothers-in-law, Bill (Lashunda) Reed and James (Bonita) Reed; nieces, Debreca Houston-Langston, his precious Katelynn Reed, Regis Price, and Demorrya Langston; nephews, Alfred Houston Jr. (Lashaunda), Dalton Reed (Nicole), Matthew Reed, and DJ Langston; special friends Joe Lott, Shannon Lott, and James King.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. EST in the sanctuary of the Bethel Baptist Church,7855 West Point Road, West Point, GA 31833 with Rev. Chris Hendricks, Pastor, Pastor Henry Mack Hudson, Eulogist, Elder Keith Reed and Pastor Jeremy Bryant, assisting.
Interment to follow in the Marseilles Cemetery, 400-498 East 12th Street, West Point, GA.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.until 6:00 p.m. at the M.W.Lee Mortuary.
