Demaurius L. "Bud" Patrick was born on July 24, 1980 to Polly D. Ross and Maurice Patrick in Chambers County, AL. On April 1, 2022, Bud's spirit went back to God and is now in God's loving hands. “Bud,” as he was known by many, received his schooling in the Lanett City Schools. As a child, he attended The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
From an early age, he had a love of animals. From fishing in the creek behind his childhood home as a boy to his fondness for dogs; Bud was the one to call for animal advice. A jack of all trades, Bud was the go to when you needed anything fixed or updated. He shared a very close bond with his children and was the center of their lives. His influence on their lives will forever guide them as they continue to grow. Demaurius was a kind and loving son, brother, father, and husband. He was formerly employed by West Point Stevens, Wal-Mart DC, Mobis and was currently employed at Acosta. He also strived to manage his own business.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mattie Pearl Jackson and Irene Holloway.
Bud was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered by his wife, Shanola Patrick; his daughters, Latasia Tucker and Tymaury Patrick; his sons, Kaiden Patrick and Kyrie Patrick; his step-sons, Connor, Taye, Aiden, De Quez, and Cameron; his parents, Polly Ross, Johnny Ross, Jr., and Maurice Patrick; his brothers, Kevin (Ranisha) Patrick, Brian (Jessica) Patrick; his sister, Candace (Brent) Rowe; step-sisters, Quantaza Scott and Kayla Fields; grandparents, George Jackson, Jr., Willie Dean (Jimmy) Ware; mother-in-law, Gale Shelton; a host aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
