Mr. David LaReiko Brooks was born March 8, 1982 to the late Carolyn Brooks in Chambers County, Alabama. He departed this life on April 20, 2024 at his residence in West Point, Georgia.
David accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Bethel Baptist Church,West Point, GA.
He received his early education in the Chambers County Public School System and in latter years with the Troup County Public School System, where he was a graduate of Troup County High School, LaGrange, GA. During his high school years, he was was member of the Troup High Wrestling Team. David was always involved in sports; as a youth he played football, basketball and baseball with the West Point Park and Rec.
He attributed 20 years of service to Wal-Mart Distribution Center, LaGrange, Georgia. He was a die-heart Florida State Seminole fan. David was a gifted artist and a very loving individual. He touched the lives of many of his family members and friends.
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and George Brooks.
He leaves to cherish his memories a sister, Sherwonna Brooks; nieces, Shantris Render and Octavia Dardy; aunts, Carrie Brooks, Marilyn Brook and Belinda Brooks; uncles, Ronnie Brooks and Curtis Brooks; a host of loving cousins; special friends, Mr. Alan and Mrs. Faith Evans; the entire Evans Family, David Bennett, Tony Pothress and Lacy White.
Funeral Services for Mr. Brooks will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. ET in the Marseilles Cemetery, 400-498 E.12th Street, West Point, GA 31833 with Bishop G. Winston Fanning serving as the eulogist.
Public viewing be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m at the mortuary.
