Christopher Jerome Barrow was born on April 1, 1961 to parents Earlene Booker Barrow and Horace Lewis. He departed this earthly life on Friday, August 26, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
"Chris,” as he was affectionately called, accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under Pastor Rev. C.L Daughtery. He later united with Ebenezer Baptist Church under the late Eugene Cooks.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher Lewis; a brother, Tommy Barrow Sr.; a sister, Barbara Barrow Rivers.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a daughter; Merissa Ransom of Lanett, AL; grandson, Armani Ransom; two brothers, Bobby Stiggers(Phyllis Stiggers) of Lanett, AL, and Michael Barrow of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Martha Billingslea (Jerry Brooks), Shanta Winston both of Lanett; Sandra Hicks of West Point, GA, and Patricia W. Curry (Christopher Curry) of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Cynthia B. Barrow and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Barrow will be held at a later date.
