Ms. Cassandra “Hot” Hutchinson, 51, of West Point, GA passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Hospice LaGrange, LaGrange, GA.
A Celebration of Life Service for “Hot” will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. EDT in the sanctuary of the Emanuel Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Dr. Lindsey Napier, Jr., Pastor, Rev. Jerome Spence serving as the Eulogist, Rev. Terry Tucker, Rev. Patrick Turner and Bishop Donald Lancaster, assisting.
Interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery.
The remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Ms. Cassandra Hutchinson, the daughter of Charlie Hutchinson and Margie McCullough, was born November 24, 1968 in Troup County. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, GA, surrounded by family.
Cassandra received her education in the Troup County School System, where she was a 1988 graduate of Troup High School in Lagrange, Georgia.
Cassandra was a faithful cafeteria employee at West Point Elementary School for over 15 years.
"Hot", as she was known by many, loved to play basketball and had a passion for grilling. She enjoyed hooping and was an outstanding basketball player. Hot enjoyed being with family and friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darries and Mattie Hutchinson, Frank and Alberta McCullough; uncles William and Len McCullough, William and Walt Hutchinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Tevin & Avion Hutchinson, West Point GA; one daughter, Alexis Hutchinson, West Point GA; her parents, Charlie Hutchinson, Buckhead, GA and Margie McCullough, West Point, GA; one sister, Neketa McCullough, Lanett, AL, one brother, Darnell McCullough, West Point, GA; one aunt, Jewel McCullough, West Point, GA; six uncles, Darries Hutchinson, Frank, Jerome, and Freddie McCullough all of West Point GA; Elbert (Sarah) Hutchinson, Greenbriar, NC; two great aunts,Clara Davidson and Wylene Hurston both of West Point GA; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

I met her years ago at a gathering her home she didn't know me but she knew my friend and we me and her instantly became good friends she she always me with a friendly smile she had a smile that would light up a room and will be missed dearly
