Ms. Antoinette “LuLu” Stafford gained her wings into eternal rest.
ANTOINETTE “LULU” STAFFORD was born on March 9, 1973, in Troup County, Georgia, to Carrie Faye Stafford and the late Melvin Towles.
Antoinette was educated in the Troup County School System, graduating in 1991. Known as “LuLu” to many, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, carrying warmth into every role.
When illness struck in 2025, she spent her final days surrounded by love, cherished, honored, and cared for. Throughout her illness, Antoinette displayed quiet courage, facing the unknown without revealing fear. Over the past year, she bravely and graciously fought a hard and brief battle with cancer. Ultimately, on Friday, May 1, 2026, her earthly journey ended at LaGrange Hospice, LaGrange, GA.
Antoinette was known for her lively personality, sense of humor, and bright smile. She now rests in eternal peace, remembered for her joy, laughter, and the light she shared. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her twin, Antonio “Popeye” Stafford, maternal grandparents, Osborn and Eva Lee Stafford; paternal grandparents, Charles and Charlee Towles and eight uncles.
“LuLu” will be missed by many. Leaving to cherish her precious memories: devoted and faithful mother, Carrie Stafford; four children, Demarcariious, LaFredrick, Torino and Yasmine Stafford; nine grand children Caiden, Carmon, Serenity, Cameron, Cari Stafford, Braylon, Karson Towles, Tristian Alexander, Denver Leslie; five siblings, Dexzell Stafford, Wendy (Gary) Person, Vincent (Priscilla) Clark, Debbie Clark and Vikki Towles; maternal aunts, Janice Cherry, Geneva Stafford, Katherine Stafford, Evelyn (Walter) Dunn, Katie Stafford, Mary Stafford, Lavone Dawson and Wanda (David) Bradberry; maternal uncles, Jessie Stafford and William Cumberlander; paternal aunts, Frances Gilbert, Evelyn James, Genessia Daniel, Carolyn Hunter, Gwendolyn Towles and Cheryl Smith; great aunts, Rose Demarcus and Ruby Jackson; special nephew, Demarcariis Stafford and Tasaki Calloway; a special friend, Benjamin Bandy, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
