Ms. Annie Ruth Ferrell transitioned peacefully at her home on May 19, 2021. Annie Ruth, the daughter of the late Anderson Ferrell and Ruby Lett, was born on May 12, 1948 in Gabbettville, GA. Annie attended the public schools of Atlanta, GA and West Point, GA She was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Harrison High School. At an early age she professed her Fatih to Christ and was a devoted member at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Usher board, as the church’s treasurer and was a song bird that loved playing the piano. Annie Ruth always greeted you with a pleasant conversation and a cheerful smile. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Ferrell; sons, Reginald Ferrell and Charles Ferrell; sisters, Margaret Winston, Gloria Battle, Darlene Lowe and Victor Lowe; grandparents, Jim Ferrell and Cora Higgins and an aunt, Aretha Morris.
Her life will forever be cherished by her children: Jeffery Ferrell and Jennifer Ferrell; beloved grandson, Da’Jaun Ferrell; brothers, Keith Ferrell, Darryl Ferrell, Marvin Ferrell (Joyce), Jerome Pittman (Yvonne), Ronnie Lowe; sisters, Cheryl Collins (Edward Sr.), Sylvette Andry (Frank), Valerie Turner (Thadius); devoted family members Tabitha Truitt (Virgil), Horace Higgins, Dorothy Swanson; special friends, Linda Williams, Angela Travis, Patricia Cooper, Annie Ruth Hurston and Linda Heard, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service for Ms. Ferrell will be held at 2:00 p.m EST, Thursday, May 27, 2021 in the Marseilles Cemetery with Bishop Marc L. House serving as the Eulogist and Apostle WIllie Eva Hicks, assisting.
Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
