Ancion Leroy “Pook” Wallace, Jr. was born March 25, 1999 in LaGrange, GA. He departed this life into eternal rest on September 27, 2024.
Ancion was of the Baptist faith. He received his education in the Troup County School System, where he attended Troup Comprehensive High School, LaGrange, GA. “Pook”, as he was known by many, was a very caring, silly and energetic young man. He never met a stranger and was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Willie Murphy, Sr., and Leroy Wallace, Jr.
He leaves his cherished memories to his mother, Gail J. Murphy, West Point, GA; father, Ancion Wallace, Sr., Phenix City, AL; grandmothers, Ms. Minnie Murphy, West Point, GA and Ms.
Lorraine Smith, Chicago, IL; seven sisters, Latisha(Lerone)Thomas, Valley, AL, Typreka(Montedro)McCullough, Quoneisha Murphy, Lasonya(Fredrick)Bonner, Michelle Murphy, all of West Point, GA; Destiny Martin, Tallahassee, FL and Cameisha Meadows, Lanett, AL; five brothers, Steve Murphy, Elonzo Murphy, Brandon Murphy, Thadius Murphy, and Trent Murphy all of West Point, GA; a special aunt that had an major impact in his life and rearing, Sharon Tucker; an array of aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends that will dearly miss him.
Funeral Services for Mr. Wallace will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA with Overseer G.L. Fanning/Officiant, Rev. Michael Slaughter, Eulogist, Rev. Charles Trammell, Rev. Travis Porter and Rev. LaFredrick Bridges, assisting. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Austin Street, West Point, GA.
Public viewing will be held be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. ET at the mortuary.
