Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his death.
Rev. Barber received his education via Harris County School District and was a member of the Carver High School Class of 1969. He was employed with West Point Pepperell for over 30 years as a mechanical technician at the Shawmut mill division. He furthered his education and pursued a Bachelor of Arts from Interdenominational Theological Center.
Rev. Barber devoted his life to ministry. He founded "The Fishermen's Ministry," where he guided his congregation with wisdom, compassion, and a profound understanding of the human spirit. His sermons inspired many, and his door was always open to those in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Cleve Barber, Sr. and Mrs. Rosie Lee Barber; son, James Shondel Dunn, and daughter, Denise Lakal Dunn.
