Albert Louis Autry was born on September 12, 1954, in Chambers County, Alabama, to the late William and Willie Pearl Stiggers Autry. He departed this life peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
At an early age, Albert accepted Christ and joined Goodsell United Methodist Church in Lanett, Alabama. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was an active participant in church activities, finding joy and purpose in his spiritual community.
He was known for his dedication to his family and his big personality. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially during gatherings and celebrations.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Jessie B. Autry, William Lee Autry, Tommy Lee Autry, Lula Mae Dunn, and Ophelia Baker.
His loving memories will be cherished by his loving wife, Cindy Autry of Lanett, Alabama; children, Shermeka (Christopher) Wright, Latocka Autry, Mykiel Autry, Orlando Autry, Albert (Lil Albert) Autry, Conrado (Tammy) McGhee, Roderick McGhee, and Broderick McGhee; grandchildren, Shontorry, Yoshianna, Zylissia, Terrance, Selene, Tavarez, Tyjuan, Destiny, and Bradyn; great-grandchildren, Dayson and Krisslyn; sister, Barbara Autry Tall; sisters-in-law, Willie “Pam” Autry, Barbara Autry, Josephine (George) Myhand, and Charlotte Sharpe; brother-in-law, Lonnie McGhee; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, dedicated neighbors, and friends; special friends Gregory Boozer and Reverend Kelsey Barnes
Funeral Services for Mr. Albert Louis Autry will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:00 (Noon) in the sanctuary of the Goodsell UMC, 1009 North 6th Avenue, Lanett, AL 36863.
Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, 2232 22nd Avenue, SW, Lanett, AL 36863.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are by M. W. Lee Mortuary.

I have know Albert, since I was a little girl going to Goodsell United Methodist Church. He was an usher, the bus drive, a mentor, song in the choir, he would help service in the kitchen.
