Obituary For Ruth Nichols
Mrs. Ruth Nichols 97, of LaFayette died Tuesday November 24, 2020 at the U A B Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was born in Waverly, Alabama December 17, 1922 to the late Otis Carlisle, Sr. and the late Ura Merle Moreman Carlisle. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaFayette and also the Dorcus Sunday School Class. She and her late husband operated the Nichols Insurance Agency in LaFayette for over 35 years.
Graveside services will be held Friday November 27, 2020 at 2PM at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating.
Mrs. Nichols is survived by her 2 Daughters Barbara (Tom) Abbey of Hoover, Al., Patsy Nichols Swanson of Hoover, Al., 4 Grandchildren Kyle (Lisa) Abbey, Austin Abbey, Kevin Swanson, Josh Swanson, 2 Great Grandchildren Ryan Abbey and Sloane Abbey.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband James W. (Jimmy) Nichols, and her brother Otis Carlisle, Jr.
